Queer Work, 2024
Queer Work (Project-Based Course, March 2024) introduced BA Fine Art second-year students at Central Saint Martins (CSM), University of the Arts London to critical and decolonial perspectives on queer arts practices, focusing on issues of gender, sexuality, labour, and class. Teaching activities included engagement with and discussions on films, media, and readings, complemented by directed tasks and exercises,
such as experimentally approaching and translating an archive, as well as conducting collective and collaborative
artistic research.
The course culminated with a student exhibition, where they presented artworks created during the project. The students were also required to submit a supplementary document that contextualized and reflected on their artistic and research processes.
